He has held executive roles developing talent in global companies such as Roche, Baxter, GE, Black & Decker, and Gambro. He has co-founded an executive leadership development company, HeidelRose.  

Walter supports entrepreneurs in startups, public institutions and NGOs with a focus on increasing access to better healthcare, particularly in resource limited areas, through stronger leadership, innovation, and governance. 

He has a certification in corporate governance and start-up board governance. He is an ICF certified professional coach and qualified in psychometric assessment.   

Walter lives with his wife and two daughters in Switzerland and enjoys cycling, wake-surfing, skiing, and hiking in the mountains.
