Dr. Marion Welp is a passionate global Human Resources, Transformation and Legal Executive, bi-lingual Lawyer, and Coach, who leads, inspires, and empowers international leaders, teams, and organizations to smoothly navigate corporate and personnel transformation and change to achieve sustainable, long-term success.
As former long-term Chief HR & Legal Affairs Officer of the global Esprit Group, she has handled various business transformations & change management task forces on an international scale, ensuring that the workforce positively adapts to the planned business change. Marion conducted market openings, took care of organizational re-scaling, and various cultural change programs, ensuring that the company is ahead of its times when it comes to a modern, state of the art HR. Due to her in-depth understanding of the natural connection between a company’s successful consumer brand strategy and employee behavior, she managed to create a positive, empowered, engaged, customer-centric, and performance-orientated workforce culture, which enthused employees, outside talent, and customers equally. She spent over 8 weeks per year in Asia and is very familiar with the Chinese culture and leadership style.
Marion holds a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Münster, Germany, and a Master of Law degree from Penn State Dickinson Law. She is an admitted member of both, the German as well as New York State Bar as well as a CLCI certified coach. She was officially recognized various times by Legal500 as “Top 100 General Counsel” and was entrusted in her times as General Counsel with a seat in the presidency of the BUJ (assembly representing all GC’s in Germany). In her spare time, Marion loves playing sports and traveling, and is a huge fan of the Italian language, culture, and interior design.
